I did a similar shot awhile ago, but used a cooler (color temp-wise) background and a narrower depth of field.

Day 3 of my week of black and white.
Got a deadline coming up Friday, so I haven't had much time to shoot... it's getting to be pretty hard to figure out something to shoot in my apartment at night. I can't wait for Spring when it's light outside after work again!

I had trouble coming up with something to shoot today. I shot some stuff not sure how it would come out, and wasn't really happy with any of them. I picked a few though to mess around with in post-processing, and something about this one struck me. It's not really obvious what the subject of the picture is, but it somehow seems soothing.
